Safiya & Mohammads Wedding at Usumbara Krugersdorp.
Very soft hearted and spoken is the best way to describe this couple. I had not met Mohammad beforehand and, and started photographing his mate thinking it was the groom, before i asked the embarrassing question. Well this made us laugh and the mood was set for a great day ( before you wrap me over the knuckles for not meeting the groom beforehand, well this is normally the case with all muslim weddings. I get to see the brides parents first, and then the brides, and the hubbies to be 90% of the time although requested to be at the pre meeting, never pitch up). The grass was lush and green, and expecting a definite no, i asked Safiya to lye down on it and without hesitation she did, well done girl, See the 2nd and 7th page of this album to appreciate what it did to enhance the feel and look of the photos. Again off camera flash and reflectors were used to fill in the dark patches during the harsh parts of the day followed by natural light for the rest. A harsh storm drove us inside, and the formalities began. Thanks for being such a great couple. A pity you have moved so far away.
